Hello respected members of lawyers club India.com I have strange query to ask today actually I book a photographer for my brother's wedding last year as he very near to my house and we decided to book him for wedding photographs and videography he done all work accordingly in wedding and aft that I went his studio to slecect the pictures which I told him to print as wedding album I was very excited to do that bcz wanted to see all happy family in pictures those all moment comes only once.. Photographer told me he will get print wedding album and video mixing in 1 month time but after one month he asked one more month and this procedure continued and after that my brother and me came to Singapore bcz we both working here and my family continued to ask him about pictures and video but his excuse never stop.. Nw alrdy one year he saying nw he lost all data so sorry I can't do anything.. my family hearing this got shocked.. Now can u please suggest me what should I do can I take any legal case on him.. Bcz I don't have any written contract with him I just got orally talk with him and he promised me to give best job.. I paid him half money in cash also please tell me any way so I can sue him legally...

even if there was no written contract still he3 came to the wedding place and done the job the contract is there.

Okay sir suhhir kumar so should I go consumer forum and make a complaint against him or should I go through any local lawyer.?

There is a completed contract, which could be enforced either through a civil court or a consumer court. However, you may first of all serve a legal notice. The notice itself may take care of the issues.
