Help me with future course of action

Hello Lawyers
About me:I'm a B.Tech student currently in third year.
I was friend with a girl since 8 months &due to some misunderstandings she cut off me.
But I could not cope up with it& started harassing her by phone calls & sms & even blackmailing that I will commit suicide.
I did not threaten any dire consequences to her.
A complaint was filed to college principal,since the principal is known to my father,he didn't take any action.
Thus,they have filed complaints to PS& FIR has been registered u|s 354A,354D,509
What shall be my immediate steps to take to protect myself?
Also my university exams are beginning on Monday next week.
Ive never been to a PS,nor ever involved in a offence,im scared& afraid of this.
Ive not told my parents about this,since my dad had cardiac arrest last week.
Please help me

Visit a very able counsel at your location.
Compromise with the girl and her family.
Assure them that you will never harass again.

Better Plead for the mercy from the Girl's Parents in Person.Nothing Wrong in opting the Most humble way of Pleading hope you would understand.Better save your Career and dont involve in such things in Future.Or if you feel they would be upset if you meet them Let your mother do this for you since your Father is Ill.

Thank you sir,the solution is going for a compromise here & yes I am remorseful for my actions.
But what about the FIR?
Will I be taken into custody?
What will police do?

YOU ARE GUILTY AND SHOULD FACE CONSEQUENCES. HOWEVER, SINCE YOU HAVE ADMITTED YOUR FAULT, YOUR PENITENCE WILL DEFINITELY HELP. PRAY TO GIRL AND HER PARENTS AND THEY WILL COME TO YOUR RESCUE.

Since you have stated, "the solution is going for a compromise here & yes I am remorseful for my actions," on compromise she is likely to withdraw her complaint. So, better concentrate on arriving at some appropriate solution to make her convinced to get the FIR withdrawn.
Otherwise, your offence is not pardonable and police action depends upon the nature of seriousness of complaint, the substance of which you have not given while asking for solution.

Your father and Principle saved you.
However that was the time::: when if you were reprimanded in presence of the family of girl::::even if verbally:::the matter might have ended.
Now involve elders and a your counsel and try to obtain pardon from the girl and her family and close the matter with compromise.

Thank you Sirs,but here's the update I've received.
There's strong chance police may arrest me,have recieved some info on this.
Since PS DINGRA SIR has asked about the seriousness of complaints,actually i admit I had threatened her of assaulting & abducting after she finishes her exam(backlog which was on tuesday&she didn't appear)
My mother personally talked with her family that I will beg sorry&I move on from this& even pay some money.
They ignored us saying,because of me,she had to face so many problems.
So compromise is out of Q at least in short term.
Now should I abscond& go underground?
My father is a AGM in a PSU bank& the reputation is at stake here.

If you abscond and go underground, your father and even mother cannot avoid grilling by the police. That way the reputation of your father would be harmed much more, when your parents would face frequent visit by the police to your house or your father's office or they are made to attend the police station till you surrender.
Why don't you may take help of your principal again, if he helped you earlier.
Otherwise, you will have to face with your hard luck.

Better Plead with the Police Honestly and make all the Assurance that you would never involve in Such things in Future.Take the help of Local VIPs.Better Meet them before you are Invited and Put an End to this.

The matter could be settled with the girl. Given nature of offences alleged and the circumstances stated, there is no justification for the Police to arrest you. Anyhow, now onwards follow the straight and honest path.
