Husband kept my passport and denying to have it

Hi
My brother-in-law has passport of my sister and falsely saying that it is not with him.Now i can not apply for re issue unless old passport is available.
Kindly suggest what to do?

your sister should file complaint against her husband . let police call him to record his statement .

if husband says passport is lost / not in his possession then on basis of police complaint applly for duplicate passport

If UR sister is staying in India, ask her to lodge a Police complaint that he passport is lost and could not be traceable.Then she can apply for a duplicate PP.Is she aware of her PP number.If so she can apply for duplicate online also.

FIR for missing passport in the police station may help your sister to apply for the duplicate passport.
