Sham marriage

Actually, some years back, one of my Unmarried colleague approached me requesting me to be an Co-applicant in Housing Loan saying that bank agent has told that the "loan limit will be enhanced" only if she includes her husband as co-applicant. Just to help her, i submitted my KY papers alongwith her application for loan.
Now in bank record, we r husband-wife and accordingly sale deed of property mentions that i am her husband.
Now my wife knows it all and disputed a lot.
what remedy can i do now???

You should have thought about it while giving your consent to be written as husband! Please convince your wife by taking the help of that colleague, other than that there is no other remedy. Please see to it that it does not harm your marital balance.

some months back a similar query was replied in the same manner as replied by Mrs Jayashree Hariharan.

You have no option but to beg mercy of your wife.

Your wife has all the rights to have you jailed for entering bigamous marriage with her. She also has a right to seek divorce.

Husband of the lady also has a right to get you jailed for adultery. he also has a right to seek divorce.

plus the bank has a right to :-

(i) have you both jailed.
(ii) recover loan from you if she defaults.

no marriage has taken place . however false application has been made by you to bank for obtaining housing loan . bank can take action against you and recall loan if fraud discovered .

ask lady to give an affidavit to your wife that no marriage has been solemnised with her

Convince your Friend and Dispose of the Property and get cleared the Bank's Loan at the Earliest.Even then the Original Records would not change but you could Minimise the Risk.Till then seek the mercy of your Wife.What you have Done is Nothing But Crime.

Taking loan showing wrongly as husband and wife is fraudulent act.

Expert Sudhir Kumar has clearly mentioned the risks associated with your action.

Better get the loan cleared immediately.
