B report-

Suppose after filing B Report, police find fresh evidence -- can they withdraw the B Report filed and file charge sheet ? Please enlighten me - Does crpc 173(8) apply to filed B Reports also ?

This is not just academic -- I am facing this situation and thought that some one may be able to help me--the police had filed b report after which they got information proving guilt of accused, but still didn't act, this fact was suppressed from the complaint too and so protest petition also not accepted and case dismissed-- now we want to invoke ipc 166, 167 etc.? A/g jurisdictional police- is it possible U/s 173(8) ?
