Complain against lawyer

I and my wife had approached a lawyer for mutual consent divorce , the lawyer had asked for 50k for filing and 10k each for counselling and final decree. we paid her 25k on the day of filing petion,but after filing petion there was argument between my wife and lawyer and the lawyer withdrew from our case.Then we had to look for another lawyer to represent us and she agreed with 50k fees. Now the lawyer which left us is asking for rest 25k fees, how can she ask if she didn't represent us completely. Whom can i complain against the lawyer and she is threatening of legal implications if not paid.

The past lawyer could not ask for rest of the fees since the job is not done.
You can bring this fact to the notice of the local Bar Association.

Rs 50,000 was for drafting and filing of petition . you have to pay her balance Rs 25,000 as only 50%fees paid at time of filing of petition

@ Mr. Ajay Sethi, agree but she left the case , at her will then why should i pay her the rest??

The lawyer has done work till filing and hence entitled fee till that stage.

If your earlier advocate retired from your case with the permission of court, then he has no right to seek for remaining fee....you may complain to bar council where he enroled
