This query is : Resolved
In the Mumbai co-operative court, i had strongly denied and requested not to accept the WS of the respondent as the respondent intentionally took unnecessary dates for 221 days, just to prepare the WS. But the court accepted the WS and ordered the respondent to pay me the cost of Rs. 300/-.
My queries
------------------
Is the cost of Rs. 300/- ordered by the court reasonable and what is the criteria of compensation in such cases?
Is it an injustice to me that the court accepted the WS inspite of no valid reasons given by the respondent and still delaying the WS preparation for 221 days?

oNCE cOURT PASSED oRDER,
just proceed further..
NO POINT ON FIGHTING THE QUANTUM OF AMOUNT. IT IS PUNISHMENT/ PENALTY.. THAT COUNTS.
COST IS ALWAYS TOO LESS THE JUSTIFIED AMT; BUT IS IS A PRACTICE EVERYWHERE.
IN rare cases, COST IS REASONABLE.

Court has awarded the cost as per it felt justified. You should agree to it.
If aggrieved from any decision may go for appeal.
