My father belongs to S.C caste and he is a govt. employ. But in my study right from SSC to PG my caste was mentioned as OC. It was due to this reason I could not avail caste benefits. Can I apply for caste certifcate and avail the benefits now. Can I apply for govt. jobs using caste certificate. How can I change my caste in my study certificate,.
Please clarify my doubts.

If your father is not a high govt. official then on the basis of his card you can apply for such card.

change of cast is not popssible.

Yours is not a case of change of caste. You have so far not declared yourself to be SC adn not made any certificate and you were entitled to be treated as General candidate.

But now you decide to be treated as SC and avail reservation prospectively. It is possible . You have to apply case certificate from Tehsil office.

You can apply for caste certificate as per caste of your father.

It is not the case you are changing your caste. By mistake your community was mentioned as OC.

You have every right to obtain the community certificate, as of your father. The previous mistake can be cured.

After getting the SC certificate you can avail all the benefits in accordance with law.
