Dear Expert
On account of her cruel misbehavior to me and my beloved mother aged 70 years and also against my other family members. She also dragged me to police station thereby defaming me in the society by leveling false and fictitious allegation of dowry and beating. She was bent upon to registered a case against her husband and her whole family members after compromise she with her family member took away whole jewellery and cash on the pretext of taking cloths before her departure to her parents house for 15 days. We do not want to give her another chance to create such atmosphere to defame her husband family. Pls guide us for sending talaq & other legal options

Talak is a kind of a divorce in Mohammedan Law. Any Mohammedan of sound mind and attaining puberty may divorce his wife by talak. Talak may be either oral or in writing by a document called Talaknama. The words to be uttered in a talak must be unambiguous and must indicate an intention to dissolve marriage. Talak may be of three types, namely (a) Talak-ahsan, i.e. single pronouncement, (b) Talak-hasan, i.e., consisting of three pronouncements, and (c)Talak-ul-biddat, i.e. talak consisting of three pronouncements in one sentence or on three sentences made simultaneously or even a single pronouncement clearly indicating an intention to dissolve marriage irrevocably. The pronouncements are made during the the tuhr, that is the period between menstruation. Therefore the talaknama sent by registered post and the mehr amount sent by bank DD are valid.
