Fraudulent agreement of sale

I want your kind advice on the following case- I have a property in Bangalore which I am in possession of from the past 30 years. I realised recently that some one have executed a registered Agreement of Sale in my name in favour of some third party. I do not know either of the parties nor did I have knowledge of this transaction till I took an EC. What should I do now, How long will the court proceedings take and what will be the cost for the same. kindly help me.

Immediately file a police complaint regarding the same.when the sale agreement got registered? You could also apply for court directions to cancel the illegal sale agreement and criminal action against the culprits.Also find out what does the Registrar say regarding this and find out any remedy for this and is there any way it could be cancelled by way filing an affidavit.Now a days photographs of both buyer and seller is must and Registrar also will have some remedy basing on the facts.If it goes to court the formalities could be completed in 60 days depending on your advocate it could be fast.

Thank you all for you kind reply. the Agreement was registered in October 2013 and I came to know of it last week. I have tried talking to the registrar but he says he cannot do anything and the address in the agreement is false have personally gone to the address have lodged a police complaint today. Will approach the court as per your advice thank you all.

Yes follow up the case with the police, while simultaneously file a civil suit for cancellation of sale agreement deed.
