Respected Experts,
I had given my Iron(Press) bought by me 2 years back at Rs.1400/- for repair to the bajaj Electricals service center at Mira Road because of overheating problem,They broke the handle of the Fibre body of Iron and are now saying that my Iron was already broken. At the time of the handing over the Iron to the service center it was in perfect condition and on demanding the reciept, the lady incharge had just given me a small handwritten slip with the model number and the service center number on it. They are refusing to accept that they have broken it and are calling me again and again asking me to take the broken Iron from the service center, Please advice. Thank You for reply.

File a consumer complaint as earliest as possible.

It is not barred by time, since the cause of action starts from the date of handing over the item for repair to the service centre. However, your case is very weak, as you will not be able to establish that they broke the handle of the Fibre body of Iron.

Send notice and file consumer complaint. However, the legal charges for notice and time consumed would be more than the residual cost of the iron.
Alternately you may send complaint letters to Company for deficiency of service with timely reminders.

If it is not worth enough to make such a hue and cry, just ignore it.

it is better to get it repaired outside, c replacing handle.
Will cost less, fast, not to wait for hrs in ncon court, spending over 10k for advocate, or go for weaker, time barred case..
