DEAR express
I am damodar from mysore karnataka i am a law graduate from the university of mysore .Prior to it i had done my B,COM degree from karnataka mysore state open university and completed the course in the year 2007, based upon my SSLC certificate
After which i had applied for the LLB Course and got admitted in the law course in the same year of june 2007, and completed the same the year june 2012
I had applied for the enrollment in the month of november 2012 at the karnataka state bar council,to get enrolled as an advocate
But the bar council has kept my application under pending status stating the reason that the REFORMS OF LEGAL EDUCATION 2008, states that i cannot be enrolled as an advocate, and it is still under consideration till date
Please clarify me whether i can be enrolled as an advocate or not.....
Thanking you

What was your age at the time of admission? Whether you did 3 years regular course. As per Bar council directives age of 30 years has been fixed for LLB 3 years (relaxed for SC/ST). The implementation in some states is pending court decision.

In the given case, it seems no problem in enrollment but you are required to make a detailed representation of concerned Bar Council.

From the query, the reason for keeping the enrollment application pending is not clear, you can consult personally the State bar council office and also member of the Bar Council for discussing further steps.

There is obviously some hitch, other wise BCs routinely enroll as advocates all eligible persons. Find out from the Bar Council.
