My son was employed in a private company as a service engineer. The company has no office in Kolkata. During noon when my son used to be on duty, out of home, as a company's peon I had to receive letters, parcels, materials sent from company's head office / branch offices and from customers since everything was sent to my residential address. The company did not take my / my son's permission for this or did not pay me anything.
My son was not employed as Resident Engineer. He was employed as Service Engineer. Resident engineer may have some obligation of using his residential address for official communication. But Service engineer does not have such obligation.
Considering my son's employment I did not raise my voice. But I was really highly annoyed. Now he has left the company. May I now claim a compensation for using my residential address from the company?

As there is no contract between you and that company so there is no ground for you to claim for the compensation. It would have been better to raise the issue when your son was in the employment of that company. You permitted the company to use you by your own silent act and conduct.

If you proceed legally, it would be difficult for you to convince court to decide in your favor on the given facts and circumstances.
