Dear Experts,
I started a business for which i had to pay a security deposit....Now i have closed down the business and hence the deposit is refundable.....but i do not have the receipt for the same(lost)....Is there any legal document which would help?
affidavit or indemnity bond..

Any way as you do not have the receipt of deposit, they are insisting for an INDEMNITY BOND and Affidavit to ensure and get immune from the fact that in case some one else claims the same right of refund and he is found entitled therefor then you shall make good the losses caused to them due to wrong refund to you.

Both or INDEMNITY BOND alone duly notarized can serve the purpose.

It shall be better to obtain this information from the authority from whom you have to get the refunds.
