Daughters right in ancestral property

does supreme court have given decision in past in which the court has given equal share to daughter in ancestral property.

i read somewhere that supreme court has given such decision in case of ganduri devi.and many other examples in past where daughter was given equal right like son.

if experts have some views on it then please share..

The case is: Ganduri Koteshwaramma and Anr. Vs. Chakiri Yanadi & Anr. (in Civil Appeal No. 8538 of 2011) decided by the Supreme Court on 12.10.2011.

Not only Hon'ble Supreme Court has pronounced the judgment but prior to that Govt. of India has amended Hindu Succession Act vide which daughters have also been provided equal rights in ancestral properties of the deceased.
