Rti

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 16 October 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi
My sister has already got an ex-partee divorce from NRI.
NRI family is absconding and living in Canada. We have put FIR against them for this cruel behavior. However, no action has been taken by the M.P. Police.Infact, this case is already going on in district court.
I am wondering if I can file RTI to get a clear position on action taken and the reason for delay.
thanks in advance for your help.

You can file RTI.

RTI application is not an issue but you should come to real point. You should insist to bring the accused back to India to face trial. help of MEA should be taken in summoning them.

Act as advised.

RTI for what?

You would only get status report and what actions police has taken to apprehend the accused and nothing more.

Yes you cab very well do that.
But to execute the pending warrant against them you might need to move the higher court.
