Decrease in family pension

My MIL had been geting family pension since last 20 years and the same has been credited to her bank a/c with SBI NEW NALLAKUNTA(HYD)For last three months she has received family pension of Rs 13182/=plus DAR Rs 678/=but in the month of April the bank credited only Rs 5636/=On enquiry from the bank they simply said the calculation id correct.We have referred the matter to the bank but no positive response.Under these conditions ,who are the persons to whom we can refer our grievance and get the correct family pension at the earliest.

What is the kind of pension, whether state government or central government or defence or PSU/bank etc?, Furnish the details so that you will get proper guidance.

There could be no conceivable reason provided the information made available is correct. You may better contact State Bank of India Central Pension Processing Centre at Hyderabad.

Without correct details we are not able to give answer. Where she was working. Better to contact the pension office and find the reason.

Please refer to the Pension Payment Order of the pensioner.
Does it contain any provision of reduction in family pension after some time years and how?
The pension may have been reduced as per the conditions of PPO.
possibility of deduction due to TDS is not apparent as pension is not enough to attract the provisions of TDS.
In State Bank of India, pension is paid centrally, branch may not be having record so in case of need write to Bank CPPD through Branch.

It is better to approach the pension granting authority directly mentioning the discrimination so that your problem will be addressed properly.

Your query is incomplete. You have stated that your MIL is getting family pension for the last 20 years, while you have mentioned the amount received only for last three months, but not what she was getting prior to the last three menths.
However, rate of family pension can be duly found mentioned in the Pension Payment Order.
