City civil court to fast track court

A senior citizen aged 80 years is the first defendent in a civil case in Chennai city civil court. Can he request the court to change his case to chennai fast track court.
If yes, what is the procedure for the same.

With reference to the above, even after 5 months of starting of the case, my lawyer is not willing to change the case to fast track court. He claims that, the court will not accept the request to change the case to fast track court. Is this true?
I am not satisfied with this lawyer. How do i change him? Can i change the lawyer without the consent of the present lawyer?

File application u/s 151 of CPC with supporting affidavit in the concerned court
to transfer the case to FTC.

Does Fast Track court has power to hear civil suit?
In WB it has no such jurisdiction.
If in your case it is there then file petition for administrative transfer in the court of district judge.

you cn atake a second opinion . if you desire to change your lawyer you will need NOC of the earlier lawyer .
you will need a local lawyer who is familiar with the working of court in chennai to answer you r query as to whether you cna transfer case from city civil court to fast track court .
