When did her husband die? Have they got children? Is she remarried? All such relevant details imperative for a considered opinion.

The deceased husband had property and estate in his name that was disposed by his parents denying the share of the widowed wife, the details of that disposed property is necessary to seek claim by the wife of the deceased husband for her share.
As far how long they lived together is not relevant, if they were legally married although living separately and not divorced, the one share of the wife can always be claimed from other family members who disposed the property of her deceased husband.

She is so entitled irrespective of the length of marriage and irrespective of other factors.
