Representation through a power of attorney in a criminal case

Sir,
Can a person who resides abroad file a criminal case through a power of attorney
given by him to other person and if the case is admitted in the court can be represented by the power of attorney holder
and exempting the person living abroad from
attending the court proceedings.
Please advice.

Yes , POA holder can file and proceed with the criminal complaint case on behalf of the actual complainant.

yes POA can file criminal complaint on behalf of the principal . however for giving evidence personal presence of principal may be necessary
