No objection certificate

(Querist) 17 September 2014 This query is : Resolved
My Query is about NOC, I am working in a PSU and wishing to apply for government jobs for which my current organization is delaying to give NOC.

Now my questions are

1. If i HIDE my details regarding working in PSU as am not able to get NOC before last date of applying job which they ask in Notification.
2. What happens If I get NOC AFTER last date of notification and attend interview stating above said problem
3. If I have selected and later they came to know that I WAS WORKING in PSU. What hardest action can they take on me after any stage they came to know about this. (Though Before joining if I have resigned and taken reliving letter from PSU)
4. Is NOC so necessary if am applying for Govt jobs. IF THERE IS NO relation with my current work nature to job which applyed (Like Manufacturing sector to Administrative type)
5. Some people say NOC and reliving letters are only for work experience consideration/age relaxation if required is it so?

If in the event of selection for the Govt. job, you intend to resign the job in the PSU, why should you hide the fact of your present employment with PSU.

If you are going to resign before joining Govt. job, then in that event, there is no need for any prior or post NOC from the PSU.

But, if you hide the true facts, that may be held against you - by any organization whether it is Govt., or private and on that score alone they may deny employment even though you may be topper in the selected list.

Therefore, always give the correct and true particulars. That will always prevail and help you.

You should not hide.

Twice i got NOC after last date of notification. Due to which i couldn't apply for job, so only i got above doubts.
Anirudh (Expert) 18 September 2014
OK. This time also apply for NOC - it may come in time or later, but does not matter.

But reveal the complete true position in the application form that you are presently working in the PSU.

If NOC comes, no problem.
If NOC does not come before your getting appointed, then by that time you can resign from PSU and join (BUT BEFORE THAT CHECK UP ORALLY WITH THE NEW ORGANIZATION whether it is ok if you resign from PSU and then join. Whatever may be the oral reply, better get it confirmed IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL BE REGISNING AND JOINING, IS IT OK for the new organization. If you get OK in writing from the new Organization only then resign from the PSU not otherwise.)

Thank you Mr.Anirudh...
In many notification they ask NOC to be taken before last date of applying.. that's the problem for me.
Getting NOC for interview wont be that much problem as i will have lot of time for it.

Just Date of NOC is the problem. So only i got those doubts.

DECLARE WHATEVER HAPPENED..

1. You should declare and should not hide the facts.
2. You should send advance application with the copy of your request for NOC, also submit undertaking that the same would be submitted immediately on receipt as it may take time, being a government / PSU.
3. If you do not declare about your present job, disciplinary proceedings can be started against you at any time after your joining.
4. Refer the ad of the job.
5. Along with this it is certificate of so many undisclosed factors.

never suppress any facts

Suppression of facts material to appointment will be a serious problem in the later stage when discovered.
