Marriage registered abroad validity in india- any requireme

My Daughter and her fiancee are in the U S A and plan to marry in City Hall and register their marriage there. Once their marriage is solemnized in this fashion are there any requirements/formalities for recognizing the marriage in India?

It's valid marriage under the Foreign Marriage Act,1969. Tell them to get the Marriage Certificate issued by the USA authority certified by Indian High Commission or Indian Consulate General in USA. They even can get their foreign marriage registered under the Foreign Marriage Act,1969 if they so desire and have time for the same otherwise the certification by Indian Consulate General on their foreign marriage certificate is good enough for all purpose in India.
Indian Courts and authorities recognize that marriage certificate for all legal purpose.

The marriage is valid after being solemnized, consummated, registered and attested by Consulate General of India as per personal laws.
