Gift deed

My brother has gifted me his flat which has been registered and Stamp duty paid.

The Committee members are harassing me by saying there is something to be corrected in the deed ..... and not entertaining me to transfer the share certificates on my name and include me as a member..

What do I do?

By the way I have issued a cheque of Rs.500/- as membership fee and Rs.100/- as admission fee.

you have completed all the requirement for transfer of flat . ask committee members to give you in writing what corrections are needed in deed .

if inspite of reminder society refuses to transfer flat lodge complaint with Registrar Cooperative societies

Apply to Society as per procedure and let them object in writing. If they do not take decision in time approach Registrar of coop Societies. Well advised by experts, agree to it.
