Allotement of quaters by psu

Powergrid a Navaratna PSU of central government has framed some guidelines for allotment of quarters to workmen in which a clause is inserted "Normally bachelors will be alloted bachelor accomodation" on basis of this clause bachelor employees are exploited despite of having sufficient seniority they are alloted a room of 11ft by 11ft as bachelor accomodation whereas juniors having 05 years of less service are alloted two room set of plinth area 56 metre square. Please give remedy that Bachelors may also get a house on basis of seniority.

Take up the matter with the higher officials through proper channel and also through employees association. If no result outcome, proceed as advised by the expert Sudhir Kumar Ji.

Policy matter cannot be discussed so openly. If such affected persons have definite grouse and they have also courage to incur a lot of money and time then those should collectively file a writ petition before high court.

As per my own views, there is no legal ground to raise such grouse. The policy in vogue seems justified.
