FIR might have been booked after investigation by police including interrogation of you. However, you can engage a local lawyer and bring the facts before the court. Sections can not be changed, they can be interpreted.

You Could have simply chased the Cow out of your Agri Field /Farm Instead of beating it brutally.FIR would not be Filed Just Like That. When you say it was in 1995 you have prolonged the Case For Almost 20 years. In India We Treat the Cows Equivalent to Goddess and the Case is for a Good Cause and Reason.

Defend the case against you. You have to give proofs before the court, if police did not agreed at the time of investigation. If you have merits, approach high court for quashing.

Meet the charges on merits.

In chennai High court complex You could Find the Statue of the King Manu Needhi Chola. The King who Punished His Own Son Basing On the Complaint Of a Cow for killing Its Calf.

Though you have not disclosed the true facts leading to filing of the FIR and further the contents of FIR even though I do presume that the contents of FIR might be pinpointing that due to merciless beating on your part, the bull succumbed to injuries inflicted by you.

Now every accused has a right to defend himself as par law and you have no other option but to avail him. Nothing can be commented about the outcome of hearing at this stage.
