SECTION 16: FILLING OF VACANCIES

OBJECTS AND REASONS Act 15 of 1983. Clause 9.-

Undersection 16of the Act no casual election will be held to fill up a vacancy ocurring within three months of any date on which the vacancy will occur by efflux of time. This period of three months is considered inadequate and is proposed to be enhanced to six months. -Gaz. of Ind., 9-7-1982, Pt. II. S. 2, Ext., p. 46 (No. 26).
