Section : COGNIZANCE AND TRIAL OF OFFENCES

SECTION 33: COGNIZANCE AND TRIAL OF OFFENCES

(1) Not withstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973-, no court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under this Act except on a complaint in writing made by the Controller or any person authorised by him in this behalf.

(2) Every offence under this Act may be tried summarily by a Magistrate.
