Section : Voluntarily causing grievous hurt to extort property, or to constrainto an illegal act.

329. Voluntarily causing grievous hurt to extort property, or toconstrain to an illegal act.--Whoever voluntarily causes grievous hurtfor the purpose of extorting from the sufferer or from any personinterested in the sufferer any property or valuable security, or ofconstraining the sufferer or any person interested in such sufferer todo anything that is illegal or which may facilitate the commission ofan offence, shall be punished with 1*[imprisonment for life], orimprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to tenyears, and shall also be liable to fine.
