Section : Uttering words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound religiousfeelings.

298. Uttering words, etc., with deliberate intent to woundreligious feelings.--Whoever, with the deliberate intention ofwounding the religious feelings of any person, utters any word ormakes any sound in the hearing of that person or makes any gesture inthe sight of that person or places any object in the sight of thatperson, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description fora term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
