Section : Unlicensed person granting certificate pretending to be licensed.

74. Unlicensed person granting certificate pretending to belicensed.-Whoever, not being licensed to grant a certificate ofmarriage under Part VI of this Act, grants such certificate intendingthereby to make it appear that he is. so licensed, shall be punishedwith imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years, and shallalso be liable to fine. 1*[Whoever, being licensed to grant certificates of marriage underPart VI of this Act, without just cause refuses, or wilfully neglectsor omits, to perform any of the duties imposed upon him by that Partshall be punished with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees.]---------------------------------------------------------------------1 Ins. by Act 2 of 1891, s. 9.---------------------------------------------------------------------<122
