Section : Short title, extent and commencement.

THE COLLECTION OF STATISTICS ACT, 1953 ACT NO. 32 OF 1953 [18th September, 1953.] An Act to facilitate the collection of statistics of certain kinds relating to industries, trade and commerce. BE it enacted by Parliament as follows:-- 1. Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Collection of Statistics Act, 1953. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. (3) It shall come into force on such date1* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
