Section : Short title, extent and commencement.

THE INSECTICIDES ACT, 1968 ACT NO. 46 OF 1968 [2nd September, 1968.] An Act to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution and use of insecticides with a view to prevent risk to human beings or animals, and for matters connected therewith. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Nineteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Insecticides Act, 1968. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date 1* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different States and for different provisions of this Act.
