Section : Short title and extent.

THE INTER-STATE WATER DISPUTES ACT, 1956 ACT NO. 33 OF 1956 1* [28th August, 1956.] An Act to provide for the adjudication of disputes relating to waters of inter-State rivers and river valleys. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and extent. (1) This Act may be called the Inter- State Water Disputes Act, 1956. (2) It extends to the whole of India.
