Section : Short title and commencement.

THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR (EXTENSION OF LAWS) ACT, 1956 ACT NO. 62 OF 1956 [25th September, 1956.] An Act to provide for the extension of certain laws to the State of Jammu and Kashmir. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir (Extension of Laws) Act, 1956. (2) It shall come into force on such date 1* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
