Section : Public servant voluntarily allowing prisoner of state or war toescape.

128. Public servant voluntarily allowing prisoner of state or warto escape.--Whoever, being a public servant and having the custody ofany State prisoner or prisoner of war, voluntarily allows suchprisoner to escape from any place in which such prisoner is confined,shall be punished with 7*[imprisonment for life], or imprisonment ofeither description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shallalso be liable to fine.----------------------------------------------------------------------1.
