Section : Negligent conduct with respect to animal.

289. Negligent conduct with respect to animal.--Whoever knowinglyor negligently omits to take such order with any animal in hispossession as is sufficient to guard against any probable danger tohuman life, or any probable danger of grievous hurt from such animal,shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a termwhich may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to onethousand rupees, or with both.
