Section : Making or possessing counterfeit seal, etc., with intent to commitforgery punishable under section 467.

472. Making or possessing counterfeit seal, etc., with intent tocommit forgery punishable under section 467.--Whoever makes orcounterfeits any seal, plate or other instrument for making animpression, intending that the same shall be used for the purpose ofcommitting any forgery which would be punishable under section 467 ofthis Code, or, with such intent, has in his possession any such seal,plate or other instrument, knowing the same to be counterfeit, shallbe punishable with 1*[imprisonment for life], or with imprisonmentof either description for a term which may extend to seven years, andshall also be liable to fine.
