Section : Magistrate's power to impose enhanced penalties.

27. Magistrate's power to impose enhanced penalties. Notwithstanding anything contained in section 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 it shall be lawful for any Presidency Magistrate or any Magistrate of the First Class to pan any sentence under this Act in excess of his power under section' 32 of the said Code. 399
