9.Licensing of persons to grant certificates of marriage betweenIndian Christians.-The State Government 6* * * may grant a license toany Christian, either by name or as holding any office for the timebeing, authorizing him to grant certificates of marriage between1*[Indian] Christians.--------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Subs. by the A.
