Commencement and continuance of the right of private defence ofproperty.
105. Commencement and continuance of the right of private defenceof property.--The right of private defence of property commences whena reasonable apprehension of danger to the property commences. The right of private defence of property against theft continuestill the offender has effected his retreat with the property or eitherthe assistance of the public authorities is obtained, or the propertyhas been recovered. The right of private defence of property against robberycontinues as long as the offender causes or attempts to cause to anyperson death or hurt or wrongful restraint or as long as the fear ofinstant death or of instant hurt or of instant personal restraintcontinues. The right of private defence of property against criminaltrespass or mischief continues as long as the offender continues inthe commission of criminal trespass or mischief. The right of private defence of property against house-breakingby night continues as long as the house-trespass which has been begunby such house-breaking continues.
