Section : Amendment of the First Schedule to the Constitution.

5. Amendment of the First Schedule to the Constitution.-On and from the appointed day, in the First Schedule to the Constitution, under the heading "I. THE STATES",- (a) in the paragraph relating to the territories of the State of Madhya Pradesh, after the words, backets and figures "the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh (Transfer of Territories) Act, 1959 (47 of 1959)," the following shall be added, namely:- "but excluding the territories specified in section 3 of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000."; (b) after entry 25, the following entry shall be inserted, namely:- "26. Chhattisgarh: The territories specified in section 3 of the Madhya Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000.".
