In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Smt. Justice R. Banumathi, Judge of the Madras High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court with effect from the date she assumes charge of her office.
