After the Justice A.K. Ganguly episode, a former law intern, who has made sexual harassment allegations against Justice Swatanter Kumar, while she was an intern under the judge in 2011, moved to the Supreme Court on Monday seeking inquiry against the ex-judge.
The former intern had challenged the Supreme Court's December 5, 2013 court resolution in which it was decided not to entertain complaint against its retired judges. She pleaded that Justice Kumar was a sitting judge at the time of the alleged incident and henceforth, the Court must look into the complaint as per the Vishaka guidelines against sexual harassment at workplace laid down by the apex court in 1997.
A bench headed by Chief Justice P. Sathasivam has agreed to take up the case on January 15.
