WHY IN NEWS?

Regarding the alleged misbehavior of a practicing court counsel, a resolution or complaint was filed with the Patna High Court.

The court ordered the Registry to process the resolution or complaint that was brought before the court as a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and list it on the same day.

FACTS OF THE CASE

It was adamantly stated that the aforementioned advocate was wandering the courthouse and breaking the law with impunity. Additionally, the same advocate was involved in a previous event of a similar type.

The court was also made aware of a report regarding the advocate's prior behavior that was kept in a sealed cover in the register.

Additionally, the Registrar General was asked to record the same.

The decision was signed by the General Secretary of the Lawyers' Association, the Secretary of the Bar Association, the Body of a Lady Advocate of the Patna High Court, and the Coordination Committee of Three Associations of the Patna High Court.

The fact-finding committee's interim report, which was provided by the committee in a message dated December 26,2022, was reviewed by the court. The Court-master of the Court was instructed to keep it in a sealed cover.

WHAT DID THE COURT DECLARE?

The court declared that Respondent No. 6, Mr. Niranjan, will get a court notice (Advocate).

According to Shri Ramakant Sharma, he will decide on the interim report submitted by the Three Members Committee established by the State Bar Council during the course of the day itself. Of course, the General Body of the Council must first give its approval. Patna High Court CWJC No.345 of 2023(2) dt.10-01-2023
