As many as 797 cases were settled in the Lok Adalats and Rural Lok Adalats, which were held in the state wherein an amount of over Rs 47.63 lakh was awarded as compensation.
While stating this, the Member Secretary of Haryana State Legal Services Authority said out of the 797 cases settled in these Adalats, 37 were of Motor Accident Claim Tribunal (MACT), pertaining to death or injury arising out of vehicular accidents.
The remaining 760 cases were pertaining to other categories including civil, petty criminal and mutation.
He said Lok Adalats and Rural Lok Adalats were held at Narnaul, Hansi, Naraingarh, Ratiam, Rewari, Sonipat, Gohana, Ganaur, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Dabwali and Hisar.
