Justice Prasad appointed acting CJ of Patna HC

Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad has been appointed acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court after Justice R M Lodha left for New Delhi to take oath as judge of the Supreme Court. A notification to this effect was issued by President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, which reached Patna High Court last evening. It was the second time that Justice Prasad had been notified as acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court. Earlier, he held the post after elevation of the then Chief Justice of Patna High Court Rajesh Ballia to Supreme Court on March 5 this year.
