CBI court to hear Kanimozhi bail plea
The Special CBI Court in Delhi will continue hearing the bail application of DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G spectrum scam case. She moved the court on Friday seeking bail in the case. The court adjourned the hearing till today.
Special CBI Judge O P Saini also ordered status quo till he decides on the bail application.
During the day long arguments on the bail applications for Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, her lawyer Ram Jethmalani said Kanimozhi had no role in the scam. Jethmalani said apart from having 20% shares in Kalaignar TV, Kanimozhi does not have any role in running its day-to-day affairs. He said she was neither a board member nor she attendeded any board meeting of the channel.
Kanimozhi told media persons that she would face the entire issue legally.
