4 year old raped, murdered 17 Feb, 2009 1720hrs IST TNN[ Lalit Kumar ] GHAZIABAD: A 4 year old girl was raped, and then murdered, in the Sihani Gate police station area in Ghaziabad. The girl's body was, on Tuesday afternoon, found wrapped in a blanket and abandoned on Rakesh Marg. According to the police, little Bhanu, daughter of a washerman of Gulmohar Apartments, went missing on Sunday night. The washerman, Chipkoni, reported the matter to the police on Monday. Then, on Tuesday afternoon, the little girl's body was found abandoned. She had allegedly been raped, and murdered by strangling, by a rickshaw puller, Daya Ram. A search of Daya Ram's jhuggi led to the recovery of the child's clothes. He was later arrested.
