I have a question -
Can I work for companies online which are not registered in India?
I'll obviously show my income etc in my ITR.
Consult a local CA or Company Secretary.

Such working as legal employment with friendly country companies is not a crime. You have to look into the companies prospects and competencies in respecting such employment laws in both countries and making payment as per agreed terms. It is purely a personal choice.

1. You can work for ANY Indian or Foreign Co, whether it is ONLINE or OFFLINE, PROVIDED your work is legitimate and you file your Income in your ITR.

You have the discretion to be employed at your discretion so long as the activities are legitimate. However, there is need to be extra cautious in dealing with with online companies, Indian or otherwise.
