Will registration procedures

Noted lawyers please advice:

My father wants to execute a will in favor of me. He owns a home in chennai and a few properties in another state. My father and my mother are alive. But due to grave tensions in our family he plans to execute a will.

My queries are:

1) Can my father make a combined will for all the properties put together ( chennai home+properties in another state)

2) Does he need to register the will at both the places as the propeties are in two different locations.

3) Is it possible to make a combined will registration in one place only..

regards

syam

1. yes one will for all his properties can be made

2. no

3. yes registration where the will is made at one place will suffice
